Wood Piece, 2016, Emulsion and watercolor on wood, dimensions variable

 

The installation was made during a summer art residency project in Tršić, Serbia. It consists of 50 wood pieces of individually cut and hand painted wooden sculptures. The idea was to formally investigate into variations of three dimensional cuts and use color to shape specific forms depending on the nature of their cut. These were then presented on a plateau revealing more abstract complexity through the interplay between light and shadows.
